I’ve been designing logos for years. YEARS! But I have never in all that time seen such an appetite for single colour, black and white, logos. Sometimes called mono or greyscale, the use of colour, by all accounts, is passing us by. I can assure you, when I have gone into the project recently I have included colour, a pop here or a strong tone there but I have been asked by clients to remove them. And to keep it simple. The results aren’t missing anything and they stand as strong well designed logos but the trend cannot be ignored.
